Each year students build a home through the Meridian School District’s Construction Course with Mark Enger. Mark has been doing this course for 7 years and has built 11 homes in partnership with Boise Habitat for Humanity. This class is a great opportunity for Meridian Students who want to learn about building a home.

There are many great new homes built in Treasure Valley each year but one of these home is built in partnership with the Meridian School District and Habitat for Humanity. This home is built for a grade, not a paycheck. The students are taught how to technically build a home correctly. How much extra time or money it takes to build a home is not a consequence, only that it is done based on the latest building science technology and practices. Their grades are determined by how accurate their building skills are.
